Madrid, 2 April.- South Korea has granted Lleida.net (BME: LLN; EURONEXT: ALLLN) a new patent for its registered receipt of electronic email method a step forward to become key player in the eSignature industry in Spain
Having announcing the granting of a similar patent in Russia, last Monday, the new patent, granted by the Korean Intellectual Property Office (KIPO), represents a further step in the company's internationalization strategy
The patent is currently in force for a 20-year period and is the third one the dual listed company on the Alternative Stock Market of Madrid and Euronext Growth in Paris receives in the Asian country. Likewise, the company already has patents granted in other Asian countries such as the People's Republic of China, Japan or Hong Kong.
The company, founded by Sisco Sapena just over 25 years ago, has been granted over 110 patents on certification and notification methods, as well as a digital witness in electronic contracts and notifications.
"The Far East is cornerstone of our internationalization policy, and this new achievement in South Korea is key to access a potential market in forthcoming years, said Sapena.
The Lleida.net method allows automated registration and certification of receipt of email, generating proof of all and it can be used as evidence in court to attest receipt, content, delivery and non-tampering of the information and the message.
This patent is a new version of the method used by La Liga, for the sale of global licences since the beginning of 2020.
Currently, over 70 countries recognize the legal validity of electronic methods to certify legal notifications in contracting processes.
